Revanth Reddy sworn in CM of Telangana

Congress leader Anumula Revanth Reddy today took oath as the second Chief Minister (CM) of Telangana following the party's victory in the recently concluded Assembly elections. 

Governor Tamilisai Soundararajan was administered the oath by Revanth Reddy at a ceremony at Lal Bahadur Shastri Stadium in Hyderabad before a crowd of nearly 1 lakh. Sonia Gandhi, Rahul Gandhi, Priyanka Gandhi, Congress president Mallikarjuna Kharge, AICC leaders and CMs of Congress-ruled states attended the event. 

Along with Revanth Reddy, Bhatti Vikramarka took oath as the Deputy CM. Uttam Kumar Reddy, Ponnam Prabhakar, Sitakka, Sridhar Babu, Tummala Nageswara Rao, Ponguleti Srinivas Reddy, Jupalli Krishna Rao, Konda Surekha, Komatireddy Venkata Reddy and Damoda Rajanarsimha as ministers took oath. Prime Minister Narendra Modi congratulated A Revanth Reddy on being sworn in as Telangana CM and assured all possible support to further the progress of the state.

The Congress won 64 seats in the 119-seat Telanaga Assembly, with the ruling Bharat Rashtra Samithi reduced to 39 seats in the state it has been ruling for the past decade.
