In the wake of the upcoming Assembly elections, Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) national president JP Nadda is scheduled to launch the party's election campaign tomorrow in Tripura.
Nadda will kick-start party’s election campaign by launching a Vijay Sankalp Yatra from Amarpur tomorrow. He will address two election rallies in poll-bound in the state on Friday. Several other BJP leaders will also campaign to woo voters in the northeastern state. These leaders include Union Minister Smriti Irani, Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma, opposition leader in West Bengal Assembly, Suvendu Adhikari and several party leaders from Bengal. BJP national president will also hold a meeting of the top leaders in the state to revise the party's strategy for the upcoming elections. Meanwhile, the BJP is likely to release its election manifesto for Tripura in the next week.
For the elections at 60 Assembly seats in the northeastern state, which are slated to be held on February 17, the BJP has fielded 55 candidates. Votes will be counted on March 2 along with Nagaland and Meghalaya.
