Asian markets traded mostly lower in early deals on Thursday, saddled by a weak lead from Wall Street, with the disappointing earnings results from major tech companies. Investor sentiments saddled amidst China-West trade tensions and woes over the result of the upcoming US election. Japan sapped three-day winning streak with the weakness in foreign inflows followed by the stronger local currency yen. However, the Bank of Japan kept its policy rate unchanged at 0.25%, as widely anticipated. Stock market of Singapore, Taiwan, and Malaysia are closed for holiday.

Nikkei 225 down by 228.08 points 0.58% to 39,049.31, Hang Seng lower by 33.78 points 0.17% to 20,346.86, and KOSPI Index tumbled by 27.06 points or 1.04% to 2,566.73.

On the flip side, Jakarta Composite rose by 14.12 points or 0.19% to 7,583.97, and Shanghai Composite higher by 8.01 points or 0.25% to 3,274.25.
