With the Maharashtra Assembly election approaching, Congress president Mallikarjun Kharge expressed confidence in the victory of the Congress and Maha Vikas Aghari (MVA) in the state.
Mallikarjun Kharge said, ‘The atmosphere in Maharashtra is good. Congress and MVA are going to win. We will give a better government to Maharashtra... When Rahul Gandhi comes, 2-4 other constituencies nearby also get benefited...’ Kharge also took a dig at the BJP and said that the regular visits of PM Modi, Amit Shah and key party leaders show that they are nervous. Targeting the current Mahayuti government, congress president said that this government is not formed on the basis of ideology, rather it is formed after ploying the situation.
Earlier today, Maharashtra Chief Minister Eknath Shinde slammed the Maha Vikas Aghadi, saying that in two and a half years, they have looted the state and set it back by ten years. He also added that he and his government is working for the welfare of the people and for development.
Campaigning has intensified for the 288 assembly seats in Maharashtra with both the ruling Mahayuti and the opposition Maha Vikas Aghadi (MVA) making efforts to woo the electorate. The Maharashtra polls are scheduled for November 20 and counting will be held on November 23.
