Crude oil futures ended lower on Tuesday as a cease-fire deal between Israel and Iran-backed Hezbollah eased concerns about risks to supplies in the oil-rich Middle East. Meanwhile, traders also assessed the likely impact of U.S. President-elect Donald Trump's pledge to impose 25% tariffs on imports from Canada and Mexico, and additional tariffs on imports from China when he assumes office.

Benchmark crude oil futures for December delivery fell $0.17 or about 0.30 percent to settle at $68.77 a barrel on the New York Mercantile Exchange. Brent crude for January delivery lost $0.20 or about 0.30 percent to settle at $72.81 a barrel on London's Intercontinental Exchange.
