Former Deputy CM Manish Sisodia files nomination papers for Delhi polls

Manish Sisodia, the former Deputy Chief Minister and Aam Aadmi Party legislator filed his nomination papers on Thursday for the Assembly elections in the city-state.  The Former Deputy CM will be representing Jangpura constituency in Delhi Assembly, if elected. 

Manish Sisodia offered prayers at the temple of Kalka and interacted electorate for the occasion. Sisodia expressed confidence that the deity ‘Kalka Mai’ would deem him appropriately to serve the brothers and sisters of Delhi.

Earlier, Harish Khurana, the BJP candidate from the Moti Nagar Assembly constituency, had filed his nomination for the upcoming Delhi Assembly election on Thursday.

Delhi polls is scheduled for a single phase as on February 5 and the counting of votes will take place on February 8. The last date for filing nomination papers is January 17. The scrutiny of nominations will be on January 18 and the last date for withdrawal of candidature is January 20.
