KEC International (KEC), a global infrastructure EPC major, an RPG Group company has secured various orders to the tune of Rs 1,209 crore across Transmission & Distribution and Cables businesses. In transmission & Distribution business, the company has secured orders in Saudi Arabia, Uganda, India and the Americas amounting to Rs 1,126 crore. Meanwhile, the company in cables business has secured orders worth Rs 83 crore for the supply of power and telecom cables.
In transmission & Distribution business, the company has secured Rs 736 crore order for supply and construction of 230kV and 380 kV transmission lines in Jubail and Shedgum areas in Saudi Arabia from Saudi Electricity Company. It has secured Rs 124 crore worth order for supply and installation of 220 kV transmission line between Kawanda, Masaka in Uganda, from Uganda Electricity Transmission.
Additionally, in India, the company has secured Rs 60 crore order from Power Grid Corporation of India (PGCIL) for the Tangla -Barabisa section of 800 kV HVDC Bishwanath Chariyali-Agra transmission line associated with North East-Northern/Western Interconnector-1. The order value is 60 crore. Moreover, the company’s wholly owned subsidiary SAE Towers has secured orders worth Rs 206 crore for the supply of lattice towers, monopoles and hardware from the United States, Brazil and Mexico.
