DCM Shriram rises on selling textile spinning unit for Rs 17.12 crore

DCM Shriram is currently trading at Rs. 158.10, up by 0.95 points or 0.60% from its previous closing of Rs. 157.15 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 161.35 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 161.35 and Rs. 157.60 respectively. So far 2011 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'B' stock of face value Rs. 2 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 161.35 on 25-Jun-2014 and a 52 week low of Rs. 50.40 on 29-Aug-2013.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 161.35 and Rs. 145.05 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 2559.68 crore.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 63.57% while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 11.60% and 24.83% respectively.

DCM Shriram has sold its textile spinning unit located at Swatantra Bharat Mills, Tonk in state of Rajasthan as a running business for a lump sum consideration of Rs 17.12 crore. The sale has been effected on June 24, 2014.

DCM Shriram is a diversified company with business in agriculture, chemicals, plastics, cement, textiles and energy services. DCM Shriram had transferred its PVC compounding business to Shriram Vinyl, last year.
