Allahabad Bank trades higher on the bourses

Allahabad Bank is currently trading at Rs. 120.45, up by 0.55 points or 0.46% from its previous closing of Rs. 119.90 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 121.30 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 121.40 and Rs. 118.10 respectively. So far 84967 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'A' stock of face value Rs. 10 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 150.00 on 11-Jun-2014 and a 52 week low of Rs. 72.45 on 17-Feb-2014.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 127.15 and Rs. 114.85 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 6518.97 crore.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 58.90% while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 27.55% and 13.55% respectively.

Allahabad Bank, a Kolkata-based bank, has been awarded the second prize in ‘region C’ banks for the year 2012-13 under the Indira Gandhi Rajbhasha Shield Scheme of Department of Official Language, Ministry of Home Affairs.

The bank received the shield from the President at a function help in the Rashtrapati Bhavan on September 14. The bank is also celebrating the month of September as Hindi month.
