Amara Raja Batteries to set up tubular battery unit

Amara Raja Batteries has received an approval to invest about Rs 500 crore for setting up tubular batteries manufacturing plant (for Home UPS application) with a capacity of 1.44 million units per annum. The board at its meeting held on November 11, 2014 has approved the same.

Amara Raja Batteries is engaged in manufacturing of industrial and automotive batteries. It was founded in 1985. ARBL was first to introduce Valve Regulated Lead Acid (VRLA) batteries with three-year warranty in industrial and automotive applications.
