Bharat Petroleum Corporation reports 50% fall in Q2 net profit

Bharat Petroleum Corporation (BPCL) has reported results for second quarter ended September 30, 2014.

The company has registered 50.14% fall in its net profit at Rs 464.2 crore for the quarter under review as compared to Rs 931.13 crore for the same quarter in the previous year. However, total income of the company has increased 0.06% at Rs 62280.28 crore for Q2FY15 as compared Rs 62241.32 crore for the corresponding quarter previous year.

BPCL is into exploration, production and retailing of petroleum and petrol related products. The retail business unit of BPCL is into marketing of petrol, diesel and kerosene.
