Bajaj Finserv soars on reporting 59% jump in Q3 net profit

Bajaj Finserv is currently trading at Rs. 474.45, up by 5.30 points or 1.11% from its previous closing of Rs. 469.15 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 484.85 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 484.85 and Rs. 470.00 respectively. So far 41571 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'A' stock of face value Rs. 5 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 625.00 on 30-Aug-2011 and a 52 week low of Rs. 391.55 on 20-Dec-2011.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 489.50 and Rs. 444.85 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 6850.76 crore.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 58.87% while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 14.93% and 26.15% respectively. 

Bajaj Finserv has announced the results for the quarter ended December 31, 2011.

The company has posted a net profit of Rs 170 crore for the quarter ended December 2011, up 59% from Rs 107 crore in the corresponding year-ago period. Its total income has increased by 55.41% to Rs 603 crore for the quarter under review from Rs 388 crore for the similar quarter of the previous year.

Bajaj Finserv is engaged in life insurance; general insurance and consumer finance businesses and has plans to expand its business by offering a wide array of financial products and services in India. Apart from financial services, BFS is also active in wind-energy generation.
