Bank of Baroda surges on plan to raise Rs 1500 crore through debt securities

Bank of Baroda is currently trading at Rs. 1021.90, up by 10.05 points or 0.99% from its previous closing of Rs. 1011.85 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 1010.75 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 1027.90 and Rs. 1010.75 respectively. So far 30803 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'A' stock of face value Rs. 10 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 1067.50 on 18-Nov-2014 and a 52 week low of Rs. 509.00 on 21-Feb-2014.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 1055.45 and Rs. 1000.80 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 43628.57 crore.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 56.26% while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 35.65% and 8.10% respectively.

Bank of Baroda has decided to raise funds by way of private placement of AT-1 Bonds (Basel lll Compliant- Tier l) of Rs 1000 crore with a green shoe option of additional Rs 500 crore, limiting the aggregate issue size up to Rs 1500 crore. This is to augment Additional Tier- I Capital of the Bank.

Bank of Baroda has registered 5.46% fall in its net profit at Rs 1104.22 crore for second quarter ended September 30, 2014 as compared to Rs 1168.10 crore for the same quarter in the previous year. However, total income of the bank has increased 13.11% at Rs 11817.32 crore for Q2FY15 as compared Rs 10447.31 crore for the corresponding quarter previous year.
