Bharti Airtel plans to launch group-sharing plans for postpaid users

02 Dec 2014 Evaluate

Bharti Airtel, a leading global telecommunications company with operations in 20 countries across Asia and Africa, is planning to increase the base of postpaid subscribers by introducing new plan that allows sharing call and data plans between a group of five members.  The company will launch the postpaid plan -aimed at families - in the coming days and this will be an extension of the 'my plan' scheme that the company launched about a year back.

The company is focusing on preparing more plans to attract postpaid subscribers at a time when the company is also going aggressive on the fast-growing and profit-intensive data business. Out of the nearly 210 million mobile customers of the company, around 5% are on postpaid (the number is a little over 10% in metros).

Bharti Airtel is a leading integrated telecommunications company with operations in 20 countries across Asia and Africa. The company ranks amongst the top 5 mobile service providers globally in terms of subscribers.
