Bajaj Auto gains on inking MOU with Dena Bank

Bajaj Auto is currently trading at Rs. 1565.90, up by 8.10 points or 0.52% from its previous closing of Rs. 1557.80 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 1555.00 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 1577.95 and Rs. 1550.00 respectively. So far 27,000 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'A' stock of face value Rs. 10 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 1822.15 on 28-Oct-2011 and a 52 week low of Rs. 1189.60 on 09-Feb-2011.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 1577.95 and Rs. 1410.00 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 45,311.00 crore.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 50.02% while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 24.55% and 25.36% respectively.

Bajaj Auto has signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with Dena Bank whereby the bank will finance three wheelers manufactured by the auto firm.

The borrowers who are eligible on merits for purchase of three wheeler passenger auto rickshaws will be provided loan up to 90 percent of the cost of vehicle on road at a very attractive rate of interest.

This MOU will help the bank to increase its finance to priority sector advances. The bank will also achieve the social objective to provide collateral free loan to micro and small entrepreneurs throughout the country.

Bajaj Auto has pan India presence and will increase its market share especially in the states of Gujarat and Maharashtra where Dena Bank is having very strong presence.
