Bharti Airtel inches up after TDSAT sets aside Rs 650 crore fine

Bharti Airtel is currently trading at Rs. 354.60, up by 0.35 points or 0.10 % from its previous closing of Rs. 354.25 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 360.00 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 362.00 and Rs. 352.30 respectively. So far 132380 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'A ' stock of face value Rs. 5 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 419.90 on 19-Sep-2014 and a 52 week low of Rs. 282.10 on 24-Feb-2014.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 386.20 and Rs. 353.00 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 141627.89 crore.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 65.37 % while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 25.10 % and 9.53 % respectively.

In an extremely positive development for Bharti Airtel, Telecom Disputes Settlement and Appellate Tribunal (TDSAT) has set aside a penalty of Rs 650 crore slapped on the company by Department of Telecommunication (DoT) in a roaming case. In its judgment, TDSAT highlighted that there was no loss to BSNL due to these services offered by Airtel and Vodafone.
