Arvind receives National Energy Conservation Award

Arvind has received National Energy Conservation Award 2014 of the Ministry of Power, Government of India. The company ranked first among 70 textiles players scrutinised by the Ministry of Power on the National Energy Conservation Day on December 14.

The company has achieved nearly 22% reduction in specific consumption in thermal energy and 18% reduction in power usage from last financial year. Moreover, the company has achieved power savings through energy efficient air compressors, unity power factor, reduction in specific consumption in humidification plant, energy efficient boilers and power savings in lights using LEDs and magnetic amplifiers.

Arvind has a portfolio of 12 of its own brands. It also runs the country’s largest value retail chain Megamart and the UK-based department store chain Debenhams, and the apparel specialty retail chain Next. Arvind has over 1.3 million square feet of retail space across various brands.
