IOC rises on plan to set-up 4 MW solar power project in Tamil Nadu

Indian Oil Corporation (IOC) is currently trading at Rs. 331.60, up by 2.25 points or 0.68% from its previous closing of Rs. 329.35 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 328.00 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 334.80 and Rs. 325.20 respectively. So far 46937 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'A' stock of face value Rs. 10 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 410.90 on 12-Sep-2014 and a 52 week low of Rs. 194.50 on 09-Jan-2014.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 353.70 and Rs. 327.60 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 80960.08 crore.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 68.57% while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 7.03% and 24.40% respectively.

IOC has in principle approved to set-up a 4 MW solar power project at Narimanam in Tamil Nadu. The objective is to generate green energy for captive consumption at IOC locations directly or through grid so as to reduce carbon footprint.
