Philips India to enter into healthcare delivery segment in India: Report

Philips India is reportedly planning to enter into newer areas in the healthcare segment in India. The new areas are primarily in the healthcare delivery segment. The company is getting into services such as healthcare transformation services, hospital infrastructure advisory services and remote monitoring of ICUs (eICU) instead of just confining itself to the healthcare equipment space.

The company expects these services to account for around 15% of its healthcare revenues from India in the next four years.

Philips India is a subsidiary of Royal Philips of the Netherlands, a diversified technology company, focused on improving people’s lives through meaningful innovation in the areas of Healthcare, Consumer Lifestyle and Lighting. The company is a leader in cardiac care, acute care and home healthcare, energy efficient lighting solutions and new lighting applications, as well as male shaving and grooming and oral healthcare.
