Sobha rises as Platinum Investment Management buys 3.20 lakh shares

Sobha is currently trading at Rs. 474.15, up by 2.60 points or 0.55% from its previous closing of Rs. 471.55 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 475.35 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 480.00 and Rs. 471.00 respectively. So far 1492 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'A' stock of face value Rs. 10 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 581.00 on 09-Jun-2014 and a 52 week low of Rs. 260.20 on 30-Jan-2014.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 498.00 and Rs. 448.90 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 4653.13 crore.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 60.58%, while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 34.88% and 4.54% respectively.

Foreign investor Platinum Investment Management has acquired over 3,20,000 shares of real estate developer Sobha through open market. Post acquisition, Platinum Investment Management holding in Sobha increased to 5.06% from 4.74% earlier.

Platinum Investment Management Limited is an Australian based fund manager which specialises in investing in international equities. Sobha Developers has presence in seven cities -- Bangalore, Gurgaon, Chennai, Pune, Coimbatore, Mysore and Thrissur. It has completed 83 projects aggregating to 20.78 million sq ft of saleable area and is presently developing 43 projects with 17.4 million sq ft of saleable area.
