State Bank of Travancore unveils Green Channel Counter

State Bank of Travancore (SBT), to give value-added services to its customer has unveiled a Green Channel Counter (GCC).  This is another initiative by the bank towards paperless banking in an effort to make Kerala more greener.

GCC leverages on its state-of-the-art technology in banking, reducing customer transaction time and avoiding pay-in-slips, cheques and challans, thereby enriching customer delight and satisfaction. In order to avail the GCC facility, the customer has to swipe his ATM Debit Card and enter his PIN through a specially designed Transaction Processing Device.

Presently with the help of GCC facilities, customers can avail cash deposit, cash withdrawal and funds transfer facility with a transaction limit of Rs 40,000 per transaction. The customer need not fill up any forms nor get tokens and stand in the queues. A printed receipt will be given to the customer indicating the transactions put through the GCC.

State Bank of Travancore operates 580 branches in Kerala itself. Headquartered in Kerala, the bank has largest number of ATMs in the home state.
