BF Utilities declines on reporting net loss of Rs 2.71 crore in Q1

BF Utilities is currently trading at Rs. 593.55, down by 16.35 points or 2.68 % from its previous closing of Rs. 609.90 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 614.80 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 624.00 and Rs. 585.10 respectively. So far 229102 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'A' stock of face value Rs. 5 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 817.95 on 22-Jul-2014 and a 52 week low of Rs. 434.00 on 18-Mar-2014.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 624.75 and Rs. 580.00 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 2294.71 crore.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 65.64 % while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 1.53 % and 32.83 % respectively.

BF Utilities has reported a net loss of Rs 2.71 crore for first quarter ended December 31, 2014 as compared to a net profit of Rs 0.75 crore for the same quarter in the previous year. Total income of the company has decreased 70.17% at Rs 1.73 crore for December quarter as compared Rs 5.80 crore for the corresponding quarter previous year.

BF Utilities is engaged in power generation through wind mill technology. The company was set up to satiate the power requirements of the Kalyani Group companies, which have business interests in areas of steel making, forging, machining, etc.
