Orient Green gains on synchronizing 20 MW cogeneration plant at Kolhapur

Orient Green Power Company is currently trading at Rs. 15.30, up by 0.20 points or 1.32 % from its previous closing of Rs. 15.10 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 15.50 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 15.50 and Rs. 15.05 respectively. So far 45845 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'B' stock of face value Rs. 10 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 20.10 on 20-Jan-2015 and a 52 week low of Rs. 8.54 on 26-Mar-2014.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 18.00 and Rs. 14.15 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 860.64 crore.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 75.00% while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 8.98% and 16.02% respectively.

Orient Green Power Company has successfully synchronized its 20 MW cogeneration plant located at Kolhapur, Maharashtra with the state grid on February 8, 2015. With this, the total installed capacity of the biomass business of the company has risen to 106 MW and all its on-going projects in the biomass business have now been commissioned.

The plant would use bagasse as the main fuel and shall supply surplus power to Maharashtra State Electricity Distribution Company (MSEDCL).
