Ingersoll Rand to take up direct interventional project in Karnataka for CSR spend

Ingersoll Rand India is planning to focus on a PPP model where it will allocate resources in education, sustainability, healthcare-sanitation, skill-development and livelihoods as part of its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) spend mandated by the Companies Act, 2013. In this regard, the company will take up direct interventional project in Karnataka, Tamil Nadu, Gujarat and Delhi.

PPP partners are Shankar Netralaya (health care), Habitat for Humanity (sanitation-sustainability), Agasthya Foundation and Akshya Patra for both (live hood and education sectors). The company during financial year (FY) spent Rs 2 crore and now for next FY is aiming to spend Rs 2.5 crore.

Ingersoll-Rand (India) manufactures air compressors of various capacities for the domestic and export markets. The company derives revenue from sale of reciprocating, rotary, and centrifugal compressors and spares in the domestic market, and from exports to parent and group companies.
