RattanIndia Power commissions 5th unit of thermal Power Plant at Amravati

RattanIndia Power has successfully commissioned the 5th unit of its 1350 MW (5X270MW) Phase-I Thermal Power Plant at Amravati, Maharashtra and has commenced commercial operation. This marks the completion of Phase-1 of entire 1350 MW at Amravati Thermal Power Plant.

Besides, Amravati Power Transmission Company (APTCL), a wholly owned subsidiary of the company, has commissioned the transmission system for evacuation of power from Phase-1. The transmission system includes 104 Km long 400 KV double circuit Quad Moose line from Amravati Project to Akola-II Substation and 7 Km long LILO 400 KV single circuit line connecting to Koradi - Akola line.

The Amravati Thermal Power Plant will supply 1200 MW of power under a long term Power Purchase Agreement with energy utility, Maharashtra State Electricity Distribution Company.
