GGCL zooms on receiving nod to commence operations in Thane and Dadra & Nagar Haveli

Gujarat Gas Company is currently trading at Rs. 760.80, up by 93.75 points or 14.05% from its previous closing of Rs. 667.05 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 701.30 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 768.80 and Rs. 701.30 respectively. So far 430190 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'A' stock of face value Rs. 2 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 812.55 on 24-Dec-2014 and a 52 week low of Rs. 347.60 on 16-Apr-2014.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 768.80 and Rs. 616.10 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 9711.73 crore.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 73.70% while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 18.30% and 8.00% respectively.

Gujarat Gas Company (GGCL) has received approval to commence operations in Thane and Dadra & Nagar Haveli. GSPC Gas Company and Gujarat Gas Company (GGCL) received authorisation from the market regulator, Petroleum and Natural Gas Regulatory Board (PNGRB) to set up the gas network in Union Territory (UT) Dadra and Nagar Haveli and Thane in Maharashtra.

Incepted in 1980, Gujarat Gas Company (GGCL) has since evolved to become one of India's largest players in distribution of Natural Gas. The company serves the entire range of the retail end of the gas value chain - Residential, Industrial, Commercial and Compressed Natural Gas (CNG).
