Vakrangee Softwares bags UID enrollment project from UBI

Vakrangee Softwares (VSL) has bagged UID (Unique Identification Project) enrollment project from Union Bank of India (UBI) for enrolling residents of India for UID. The company has bagged the project through tendering process.

VSL will work in the capacity of enrollment agency for UBI’s all nine zones (Ahmedabad, Bangalore, Bhopal, Chennai, Delhi, Kolkata, Lucknow, Mumbai and Pune) covering 18 regions as per UBI’s purchase order. In the project Union Bank of India is the registrar for UID project.

VSL target to enroll around 30% of residents of India for UID and will deploy around 10,000 enrollment kits for the UID project. The company’s target is to achieve approximately Rs 1,500 crore revenues from UID enrollment projects. It will also be working with other registrar of UID as an enrollment agency. The company had already bided for UID enrollment project with other registrars.

VSL is empanelled in the highest category of UID for enrollment agency i.e. T2F4 for pan India allowing the company to do enrollments anywhere in the country. T2F4 is a category for an enrollment agency assigned by UIDAI on a certain predetermined financial and technical parameters.

Besides, VSL has bagged a project from Haryana Government to replace paper based ration card to UID smart card based public distribution system (PDS), the company is consortium partner in the project and its share in the project is of about Rs 100 crore.
