C&C Constructions to complete Afghan parliament building by June, 2013

C&C Constructions, will complete the construction of Afghanistan's parliament building by June, 2013. The work order for Afghan parliament building entailing an investment of $95 million was given by the Central Public Works Department (CPWD).

At present, the overseas contract contributes around 3% of the company’s total contract and building a new parliament for Afghanistan is one of the prestigious projects. In 2005, the company has made its foray in Afghanistan and has so far completed highways contracts worth about Rs 500 crore under adverse circumstances. These included building, designing and rehabilitation of Taloqan to Kishem Road, Lashkar Gah Ring Road, Kandhar-Spin Boldak Highway and Kabul-Kandahar Highway, reconstruction of Jalalabad-Asmer Road, improvement of Kandhar to Heart highway and Construction of Kandahar Trin Kot Road Project.

Further, the company has also entered into a pact with the Spanish company Isolux Corsan. The pact is to jointly execute overseas infrastructure contracts exceeding Rs 500 crore, in building roads, airports, specialised buildings and hospitals.

C&C Construction is a medium-sized company engaged in Engineering, Procurement and Construction (EPC) services for infrastructure projects in the construction of highways, airport runways, bridges, water & sanitation water sewerage, sanitation and buildings and power transmission in India and Afghanistan.
