M&M domestic sales up 35.7% in February

M&M has reported an increase of 35.70 per cent in domestic sales for February at 26,580 units. It sold 19,594 units in the domestic market during the same month last year. Year-to-date domestic sales stood at 2,56,770 units in February 2010, as against 1,94,467 units for the same period last year, an increase of 32.07 per cent.

 

Total utility vehicle sales, including Scorpio, Xylo, Bolero and Pick-Ups, stood at 18,280 units as against sales of 14,720 units in February 2009, 24.18 per cent up. Sales of sedan Logan from Mahindra Renault, however, went down by 46.73 per cent to 537 units during the month as against 1,008 units in the same month a year ago. Sales of three-wheelers and Gio and Maxximo during February jumped over two fold at 6,907 units, as against 3,415 units during the same month last year.

 

Light commercial vehicle sales from Mahindra Navistar Automotives during the month were at 856 units as against 451 units in the same month a year ago, a jump of 89.80 per cent. Exports during the month jumped over threefold to 1,314 units, as against 300 units during February 2009.
