The Electrical & Gulf Projects Operating Company, which is part of Larsen & Toubro, has bagged six orders totaling Rs 1,181 crore for constructing power transmission lines and substation work. Three orders worth Rs 741 crore are from
Dubai Electricity and Water Authority has awarded an order worth Rs 265 crore for supply and commissioning of 240 km of 132 kV EVH (extra high voltage cabling). The work is scheduled for completion in 18 months. A Rs 100-crore order is from the Abu Dhabi Distribution Company for constructing a power distribution network for
Larsen & Toubro (Oman) LLC – a joint venture between L&T and Oman Electricity Transmission Company, has secured a Rs 376 crore order for 200 km of 220 kV and 132 kV double circuit overhead transmission lines and a substation. The project is scheduled for completion in 18 months.
On the domestic front, L&T has secured a Rs 246 crore order from the Power Grid Corporation for construction of 159 km of high voltage direct current transmission line system. PowerGrid has also awarded a Rs 74-crore order to construct a 36 km long 400 kV transmission lines associated with Vindhyachal IV Power Station. The project is to be completed in 18 months. SAIL has also placed Rs 120-crore order for expansion of its 4.5 mtpa Rourkela Steel Plant. The project is scheduled for completion in 21 months.
