Mirc Electronics’ one of the factories located at Haridwar district in Uttaranchal was gutted down in fire during the night of February 08, 2012. The cause of fire, which broke out late evening, is still not known. The plant is covered under insurance and the company is assessing the extent of damage caused.
Mirc Electronics has estimated loss on account of accidental fire in one of the company’s unit to the tune of Rs 57 crore, which is covered by insurance to the extent of 100%. Further, the company is in the process of re-starting the said unit shortly.
