SBBJ unveils ‘MUDRA card’ under PMMY scheme

State Bank of Bikaner and Jaipur (SBBJ) has unveiled ‘MUDRA card’ under Pradhan Mantri Mudra Yojna (PMMY) to provide easier credit facilities to micro units started by entrepreneurs engaged in non-farm activities.  Mudra card is an ATM cum debit card which can use at all ATMs and POS machines and can also be used for online purchase of their raw material and stocks.

These loans are divided into three segments such as Shishu - loan amount up to Rs 50,000, Kishore - loan amount of Rs 50,000 to Rs 5 lakh and Tarun - loan amount of Rs 5 lakh to Rs 10 lakh. So far, SBBJ has sanctioned 16,814 loans amounting to Rs 226 crore under PMMY scheme.

SBBJ is one of the five Associate Banks of SBI and has operations primarily in Rajasthan, with presence at all important centres in the country. Being an SBI Associate, SBBJ derives significant benefits from its use of State Bank brand name and logo, access to an extensive branch network including the ATM network and sharing of systems like the credit risk-rating model, treasury management and information technology (IT) systems with the parent.
