Central Bank of India receives ISO certification

Central Bank of India (CBI) has received ISO 27001:2005 certification for compliance with the best security practices. The western region head of the government-owned Software testing quality certificate (STQC) agency presented the certification to the bank's chairman and managing director.

The ISO 27001 certification is an endorsement of the bank’s achieving its commitment to protect and safeguard the critical information in order to ensure secure banking operations by building the processes complying with the highest International standards.

Recently, the bank had bagged Golden Peacock Award for innovative product or service for its retail product-Cent Sahayog launched in October 2011. Cent Sahayog was designed to strengthen the micro and small manufacturers and service providers (MSE) through a process of fast credit delivery.
