JK Paper mulls hiking production capacity to 4.59 lakh tonnes per annum

JK Paper, India’s largest producer of branded paper, is mulling to increase its production capacity from 2.94 lakh tonnes to 4.59 lakh tonnes per annum within one year.  The company, which manufactures high-end digital printing paper with HP's ColorLok technology, has two production units at JK Pur in Orissa and in Songadh in Gujarat, from wherein it can expand its production capacity.

The company has already invested Rs 1,700 crore in JK Pur to set up a brand new paper machine from Voith, Germany. This machine is expected to be commissioned by 2013. Both production units have been certified by HP and Spencer Laboratory.

JK Paper is India’s largest producer of branded paper and is a leading player in the printing and writing segment. It is also engaged in outsourcing activity wherein it contracts the capacities of other mills in India and abroad to manufacture various grades of paper, maintaining the same quality and service assurance.
