Havells India is currently trading at Rs 576.90, up by 16.95 points or 3.03% from its previous closing of Rs 559.95 on the BSE.
The scrip opened at Rs 563.00 and has touched a new 52 week high of Rs 581.65 and low and Rs 558.50 respectively. So far 49193 shares were traded on the counter.
The BSE group 'A' stock of face value Rs 5 has touched a 52 week high of Rs 581.65 on 12-Mar-2012 and a 52 week low of Rs 313.00 on 26-Aug-2011.
Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs 581.65 and Rs 510.00 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs 7198.26 crore.
The promoters holding in the company stood at 61.56% while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 20.33% and 18.11% respectively.
The other gainers on BSE “Capital Goods (CG)” space include BEML up by 2.63%, BHEL up by 2.23%, L&T up by 2.94%, Siemens up by 1.14% and Pipavav Defence up by 1.12%. Havells India, a leading player in the lighting and fixtures segment recently introduced its first exclusive showroom Havells Galaxy in Kochi. This is the fifth galaxy of the company in Kerala.
The company provides a wide range in stylish and high quality low voltage electrical equipments including industrial switchgears, cables, fans, CFLs, lighting fixtures, electrical water heaters, crabtree switches and domestic appliances.
The company has been selling its products in Kerala for several years and the business has shown an upward trend in terms of turnover in a short span of time. The opening of the new showroom is another initiative by the company targeted at end users, architects and consultants to showcase Havells products. Currently there are 127 such display centers across the country, and the company plans to open more by the end of this financial year
