Hindustan Construction ties up with French major Vinci

Hindustan Construction Company signed a cooperation Agreement with Vinci Construction Grands Projets (VCGP) of France. The understanding is for working together in power, water, transportation and infrastructure projects in India and overseas. The two companies were targeting the proposed nuclear reactor 2x1,650 MW of Nuclear Power Corporation of India at Jaitapur, Maharashtra.

HCC has built over 50 per cent of India's installed nuclear capacity. Vinci Construction Grands Projects is engaged in the development of Areva's EPR programme in China. HCC's wholly-owned infrastructure development subsidiary, HCC Concessions, also signed partnership agreements with VINCI Concessions SAS, one of Europe's largest operators of transport infrastructure concessions.

The agreement is to work together on PPP Projects so as to develop, operate and maintain large infrastructure assets. The two companies are currently working together on the $1-billion mega highways project of six-laning the Kishangarh-Udaipur-Ahmedabad stretch.crackcrack
