MIC Electronics Ltd plans to expand LED lighting production capability at its Cherlapally facility with an outlay of Rs 180 crore. The new facility will help the company enhance its production capacity for solar powered lighting products.

MIC has launched 102 inch 3 mm and 4 mm LED TVs which are comparable to plasma TVs of the same size offering brightness and viewing pleasure from longer distances. These systems enable day and night visibility and are ideal for applications in auditoriums, airports, railway stations, restaurants and public display zones.

The company also had solar powered street light for usage in the rural areas. This is easy to install and fits into the Government initiatives to spread solar powered lighting under the Jawaharlal Nehru National Solar Mission that seeks to deploy two-crore rural lighting systems by 2022.crackcrack
