Container Corporation surges on plan to set up two new Multi Modal Logistics Parks

Container Corporation of India is currently trading at Rs. 1313.40, up by 26.30 points or 2.04% from its previous closing of Rs. 1287.10 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 1294.40 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 1320.00 and Rs. 1287.10 respectively. So far 5679 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'A' stock of face value Rs. 10 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 1944.00 on 01-Jun-2015 and a 52 week low of Rs. 1257.80 on 08-Sep-2015.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 1349.00 and Rs. 1267.50 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 25609.86 crore.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 61.79 % while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 34.53 % and 3.68 % respectively.

Container Corporation of India has received its board's approval to set up two new Multi Modal Logistics Parks (MMLPs) at Tehi in Madhya Pradesh and Barhi in Haryana with the project costs of around Rs 174 crore and Rs 346 crore, respectively. The company’s board gave approval for the same at the meeting held on December 16, 2015.

Container Corporation of India was established in 1988 and works mainly in three verticals -- cargo terminal, terminal operator and warehouse operator.
