ABG Shipyard gets license to build warships

ABG Shipyard has been granted industrial licences for designing and making naval warships. The licences are issued for Surat and Dahej shipyards of the company. These licences would open a major opportunity for defence shipbuilding in India, which is the one of the long term objective. 

The company is qualified for building naval warships, naval support ships, submarines and underwater vessels. Apart from this, ABG Shipyard is licenced to make fast attack crafts, weapons and equipment, including their mounts, turrets, launchers among others as well as associated systems, subsystems and all types of assemblies for Navy, Army and the Air Force.
