Aban Offshore’s arm redeems bonds aggregating $100 million

Aban Offshore’s wholly owned subsidiary - DDI Holding AS, has redeemed the bonds having a principal amounts of $100 million and Norwegian Kroner 400 million (equivalent to an aggregate amount of $170 million about Rs 835 crore) along with accrued interest, on the due date - March 15, 2012.

Earlier in January, DDI Holding AS redeemed the bonds having a principal amount aggregating to $160 million which is equivalent to about Rs 800 crore along with accrued interest, on the due date i.e. January 19, 2012.

Aban Offshore (formerly Aban Loyd Chiles Offshore) is India’s largest offshore drilling services provider to oil companies, mainly for ONGC. It is a company which provides oil field services for offshore exploration and production of hydrocarbons to the oil industry in India and abroad.
