ACC and Ambuja dispatches up by 5% and 26%,respectively in Nov

Cement maker ACC reported an over five per cent increase in sales for the month of November at 1.83 million tonnes. The company had sold 1.74 million tonnes cement in the same month last year. Production also rose to 1.83 million tonnes in November this year compared to 1.76 million tonnes in the corresponding month last year. ACC’s cumulative sales during the January-November period of the current year stood at 21.59 million tonnes over 19.24 million tonnes in the year-ago period. Production also grew to 21.63 million tonnes against 19.23 million tonnes recorded in January-November period of the last year.

Ambuja Cements reported a rise of 26.23% in November 2011 cement production at 18.14 million tons from 14.37 million tons for November 2010. Meanwhile dispatches were at 18.31 million tons compared with 14.16 million tons, registering an increase of 29.30%.

For January-November 2011 period, cement production and dispatches were 190.58 million tons and 183.35 million tons respectively, compared with 190.28 million tons and 182.97 million tonsr espectively in the corresponding period last year.
