Zensar partners Google to offer apps to retail, other sectors

Software services firm Zensar has partneredwith Internet search giant Google to provide the latter's enterprise solutionssuite 'Google Apps' in Asia Pacific (APAC) region to retail and manufacturingfirms. Today, more than four million businesses across the globe are usingGoogle Apps to drive innovation, increase productivity and collaboration andreduce IT expenditure. Already 1.5 lakh businesses in India are using Google Apps and withZensar coming on board as a customer and also becoming a reseller, this numberwill only grow.

Google Apps is a web-based suite ofapplications that include Gmail, Google calendar and integrated chat along withGoogle Docs, Google sites and Google's word processing, spread sheet,presentation and website creation tools. Zensar would also adopt Google Appsinternally on a company-wide basis. These applications will help Zensar associatesto collaborate on web-based documents in real time. Additionally, using GoogleApps marketplace and Google AppsEngine, Zensar will be able to access thirdparty application and build their own customised applications for external andinternal use on top of Google platform. Google has similar partnerships inIndia with TCS, Wipro and Cognizant.
