Hindustan Construction Company (HCC) is currently trading at Rs. 20.30, up by 0.55 points or 2.78% from its previous closing of Rs. 19.75 on the BSE.
The scrip opened at Rs. 19.80 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 20.60 and Rs. 19.60 respectively. So far 426069 shares were traded on the counter.
The BSE group 'A' stock of face value Rs. 1 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 36.85 on 08-Apr-2015 and a 52 week low of Rs. 16.35 on 25-Aug-2015.

HCC has been awarded Rs 635 crore contract by NTPC to construct Head Race Tunnel (balance works) for Tapovan Vishnugad Hydro-electric Power Project on the River Dhauliganga in Chamoli District of Uttarakhand. The project is to be completed in 34 months.
This is an item rate contract involving salvaging of Double Shield Tunnel Boring Machine (TBM) stuck in the earlier operation by other contractor, refurbishing and putting it in operation to construct 2.84 km long Head Race Tunnel (HRT), installation of segmental lining. The contract also involves construction of 1.66 km long tunnel using drill & blast method and concrete lining.
With this, HCC's order intake in FY 2015-16 has reached Rs 5,155 crore. Besides, the company is lowest bidder in six projects worth Rs 4,300 crore. The combined order backlog is likely to cross Rs 21,000 crore in the FY2015-16.
