Shoppers Stop trades higher on BSE

Shoppers Stop is currently trading at Rs 370.55, up by 13.55 points or 3.80% from its previous closing of Rs. 357.00 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 365.00 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 380.85 and Rs. 365.00 respectively. So far 1556 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'B' stock of face value Rs. 5 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 445.90 on 06-Aug-2015 and a 52 week low of Rs. 301.00 on 25-Aug-2015.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 380.85 and Rs. 349.00 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 3178.65 crore.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 67.14% while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 17.35% and 15.51% respectively.

Shoppers Stop has closed its HomeStop store at Malviya Nagar Jaipur, due to lower than expected business and its low profitability. The sale from this store for the last financial year was Rs 738 lakh, which is 0.2% of the turnover of the Company. With the closure of this store, the company has now 18 ‘HomeStop’ stores under its operations.

Shoppers Stop is engaged in the retailing business. It runs a chain of departmental stores with brands including Shopper’s Stop, Home Stop, Crossword, Cafes and Restaurants etc.
