Bajaj Auto reports 20.49% rise in its Q1 net profit

Bajaj Auto has reported unaudited results for the first quarter ended June 30, 2011.

The company’s profit for the quarter ended June 30, 2011 rose 20.49% at Rs 711.06 crore as compared to Rs 590.15 crore for the corresponding quarter last year. Its net sales has grown by 22.73% at Rs 4586.91 crore for the quarter under review from Rs 3737.29 crore for the same quarter last year.

Bajaj Auto reported a growth of 16% in its June sales which is the highest ever sales witnessed in the month of June for the company. The company has sold total of 366,657 units in June 2011 as compared to 315,422 units in June 2010. The cumulative sales of the company for the period April-June 2011 thus stood at 10,92,815 units compared to 928,336 units for the period April to June 2010 up by 18%.
