Punj Lloyd slips after UK court orders it to pay fine of $26 million

Punj Lloyd is currently trading at Rs. 19.50, down by 0.75 points or 3.70% from its previous closing of Rs. 20.25 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 19.80 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 19.80 and Rs. 19.05 respectively. So far 2,47,000 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'A' stock of face value Rs. 2 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 35.80 on 06-Aug-2015 and a 52 week low of Rs. 19.05 on 02-Jun-2016.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 22.05 and Rs. 19.05 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 647.59 crore.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 36.89% while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 9.88% and 53.23% respectively.

Punj Lloyd and its subsidiary Punj Lloyd Upstream (PLUL) have been ordered to pay by the High Court of Justice, Queen’s Bench Division, Commercial Court, UK sum of $26,173,659.16 (plus summary assessment costs amounting to GBP 75000), to International Finance Corporation, towards their claims. The company is considering various legal options and shall take appropriate steps in respect of such order.
