Aban Offshore advances as its arm receives Letter of Award from ONGC

Aban Offshore is currently trading at Rs. 206.70, up by 7.40 points or 3.71% from its previous closing of Rs. 199.30 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 204.20 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 208.75 and Rs. 204.20 respectively. So far 99,000 shares were traded on the counter.

Aban Offshore’s step down subsidiary has received a Firm Letter of Award from ONGC for the deployment of the Drillship Aban Abraham for a firm period of 2 years. The expected revenue from this deployment is estimated at $87 Million (equivalent to Rs 592 crore). The deployment is expected to commence during the fourth quarter of calendar year 2016.

Aban Offshore is engaged in the business of providing offshore drilling and production services. The Company's operating segments include offshore oil drilling and production services, and wind power generation (Wind energy). It is also engaged in the ownership and operation of wind turbines for generation of wind power in India.
