HFCL, HelpAge India unveil a Mobile Medicare Unit

Himachal Futuristic Communications (HFCL), in association with HelpAge India, as a part of its CSR initiative has launched a Mobile Medicare Unit (MMU) from its manufacturing facility in Goa.  The Mobile Medicare Unit will consist of a dedicated professional team including, one medical consultant, a pharmacist, a social worker, a lab technician and a driver. The unit aims to target underprivileged population in urban and rural slums across Goa through free medical consultancy and diagnostics.

Medicines for common ailments such as hypertension, diabetes, arthritis, etc will be issued to the patients free of cost. Additionally, the team will also train caretakers on hygiene, sleep disorders, nutrition, etc. The Mobile Medicare bus comes equipped with ENT & Eye diagnostic Set, ECG Machine, Minor Surgical & Dressing Set to help the team to provide best medical help possible. The customized Tata Traveler Ambulance Bus is fully sponsored by HFCL and is managed by HelpAge India.

HFCL is engaged in the manufacturing of telecom equipments and provides turnkey services. The manufacturing facilities of the company are located in Solan, Himachal Pradesh (assembly line), and Salcete, Goa (optical fibre cables).
