Ingersoll Rand (India) has laid the foundation stone for new manufacturing facility on April 12, 2012. The said manufacturing facility is located at Kancheepuram district in Tamil Nadu. The foundation stone was laid by Michael W. Lamach, Chairman, President and Chief Executive Officer of Ingersoll Rand Plc. at the ground breaking ceremony held to mark the commencement of construction of the new manufacturing facility.
Last year in September, Ingersoll Rand (India) had entered into a lease with Mahindra World City Developers (MWCDL) for acquiring 10.75 acres of industrial land located at Chengalpattu Taluk in Kancheepuram district in state of Tamil Nadu. The lease was for a period of 99 years.
