KEC International, a global infrastructure EPC major, an RPG Group company, has secured new orders worth Rs 1,416 crore spread across its various businesses, geographies and customers. Under the transmission business, the company has secured orders from India, Bangladesh, DR Congo and Americas.
In India, the order is for design, supply and construction of 765 kV double circuit transmission line on turnkey basis between Wardha-Aurangabad (Maharashtra). It is secured from the client Power Grid Corporation of India (PGCIL). Total order value is Rs 320 crore and project duration is 32 months. Total line length is 178 km.
In Bangladesh, the order is for design, supply and construction of 230 kV double circuit transmission line on Turnkey basis between Barisal?Bhola?Borhanuddin. It is secured from the client Power Grid Company of Bangladesh (PGCB). Total order value is Rs 243 crore and project duration is 24 months. Total line length is 61 km (including 5.5 km of river crossing). This is the company’s biggest order from this country.
In DR Congo, the order is for supply and installation of Optical Power Ground Wire (OPGW) on the existing 220 kV and 500 kV transmission lines on turnkey basis. It is secured from the client Societe Nationale D’electricite (SNEL). Total order value is Rs 213 crore and project duration is 17 months. Total line length is 2200 km. This is the first success for the company in this country. While, in America, SAE Towers, the wholly owned subsidiary of the company, has secured various orders for tower supply to Unites States, Mexico and Brazil. The total value of these orders is Rs 207 crore.
Under the Power System Business, the company has received order for design, supply and construction of three 132 kV Substations on turnkey basis in East Nairobi, Kenya. It is secured from the client Kenya Electricity Transmission Company. The order value is Rs 60 crore and project duration is 18 months. This is the second order for Substations from Kenya in last 4 months. While, under the cable Business, the company has secured various orders for supply of Power Cables and Telecom Cables. The total value of these orders is Rs 145 crore.
In the telecom business, the company has received three orders for supply and establishment of Optical Power Ground Wire (OPGW) communication system on turnkey basis in the Northern and Eastern regions of India. The order is secured from the client PGCIL, India. Total value of these order is Rs 184 crore and project duration is between 15-18 months. The total line length of the network is approx. 9300 km. Further, the company has secured new order for construction of Canal on turnkey basis in Chhatarpur district, Madhya Pradesh under water business. The order is secured from the client Madhya Pradesh Water Resources Department. Total order value is Rs 44 crore and project duration is 24 months.
